For those of you who like a vodka martini with your grilled cheese... food trends for 2012 have taken out the middle man and combined the two into one... grilled cheese-infused vodka... according to my cheese buddy and owner of Beecher's Handmade Cheese, you take ten bottles of vodka and six grilled cheese sandwiches. Put them together in a plastic container and let the mixture sit overnight... ta da... I adore you Kurt, but I sure would like to know who thought this up in the first place... probably a descendant of the first humankind to try to eat an artichoke... going where no humankind has gone before...
Other trends for 2012 will include:
- Custom cut and custom ordered french fries
- Waffles for dinner; breakfast food will invade dinner menus. Hey, nothing new around the manse. The Lady and The Man love scrambled eggs for dinner...
- Hand-pulled noodles made by the chef while you dine
- Peppers; specialty peppers will be the rage
- Grilled Cheese will replace the hamburger as the "go-to" comfort food in 2012... about time...
